Honey by Cancership is provided by Cancership. We collect as little as we can, and we never sell your data or use it for advertising.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and the name you choose.
- Optional preferences: the role you pick (for example patient or caregiver), interests, text size and voice settings. We never ask for a diagnosis, treatment or hospital.
- Conversations with Honey, when you're signed in, so you can return to them. Guest chats aren't saved.
- Things Honey remembers, only if you turn memory on. You can see, edit and delete them.
- Journal entries, bookmarks, check-ins, game progress and favourites you save.
- Basic usage events (for example which section was opened), without the content of your messages or journal.
How it's used
- To run the app and keep your things in sync across devices.
- To generate Honey's replies. Your messages are sent to an AI service to produce a response; they aren't used to train AI models.
- Voice recordings are sent for transcription only when you tap send, and read-aloud audio is generated on request. Recordings aren't stored.
- Messages that may indicate risk are logged for review by a small safeguarding team to improve safety. No one is alerted automatically.
Your journal stays private
Journal entries are never sent to Honey or any AI service unless you choose to copy text into a chat yourself.
Your choices
- Delete individual conversations, all conversations, memories or journal entries at any time.
- Export your journal.
- Delete your whole account from Profile & settings, which removes your data. See Delete your account.
Security
Data is stored with access controls so only you can read your own content. Staff access is limited by role and recorded.
Children
Honey is intended for adults aged 18 and over.
